The UN\u2019s actions served \u201c\u2026.to highlight the need to help improve the quality of life of those with autism so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s theme, \u201cAssistive Technologies, Active Participation,\u201d focuses on access to affordable assistive technologies to eliminate barriers to active participation in order to enable those with ASD to exercise their rights and freedoms. Details regarding the program for the UN\u2019s observance today can be found here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/events\/autismday\/assets\/pdf\/2019%20WAAD%20Programme.pdf\">2019 World Autism Awareness Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In line with increasing awareness of ASD and removing barriers to active participation, The Binghamton Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders recently held our Second Annual Spring Conference at the DoubleTree Binghamton on March 14th, 2019. Our conference was a great success thanks to our fantastic presenters and wonderful attendees. We would like to thank all who attended for a lively and informative workshop-style conference!
